Curly's wife is no more

This part was a page turner! Yet Curly's wife is dead, and sadly so is Lennie. Lennie killed her!It was in an accident, yet she's gone. He was just petting her hair. " And then she was still for Lennie broke her neck." She scared him, and he held on, not aware of the trouble that would follow. He killed a puppy, and now the wife of the ranch owners' son. He ran to the bushes for safety and waited for George. Many people like Slim, and George wanted him dead. " The hand shook violently, but his face set and his hand steadied.  He then pulled the trigger." Two people died, one accidentally, and the other for love. George didn't want to kill him, yet he didn't want Lennie to suffer a long, hard death.

Curly's wife?

Is Curly's wife really devoted to him? Maybe? Maybe not? Curly's wife seems very into other men. Considering the fact she is the only lady there, she might want to talk to others. She is also controlling, like when Crooks, says he wants her out, " You keep your place then n_____." She believes that because she is Curly's wife, he uses the power to gain respect.  People are terrified of her, and what could happen because of the so-called power she has. Her personality towards others is very demeaning, and uses that power  to get her way. She also seems to "talk" to other men, " Hi Slim",  " Hi good-lookin. " She seems to know Slim quite well. I believe that she's messed with other guys, being the only girl, she must get lonely only talking to Curly.

who wouldn't want to punch Curly?

In chapter 3, There is a big fight. Curly beats up Lennie, and Lennie fights back out of fear. He ends up breaking Curly's hands. Lennie was beat up for smiling about his dream home, and Curly thought he was laughing at him for not being able to find  his wife. Curly is very serious about his wife who does look and tease other guys, yet Curly is oblivious because he loves her. He keeps his hand in vaseline for her. My personal intake was that Curly was just trying to stir up trouble, and he was doing a great job of it. I really think Lennie was scared and didn't mean any trouble, yet he still managed to get himself into a bad situation.

Leadership in part 2

In part 2, Leadership was shown by George. George was a leader by taking Lennie to the farm, and he protected Lennie from saying something he didn't mean. George also protected him from Curly's wife. He told Lennie to stay away from Curly's wife because he was protecting him from trouble. Curly was already trying to start trouble, and George was a leader to try and shut it down.
